"Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray." Philippians 4:6 MSG
"Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do,
everywhere you go; He’s the one who will keep you on track." Proverbs 3:5,6 MSG
Simple, childlike trust. Rest. Belief. Hope. Joy.
These are mine as I believe what God says.
What He says about me. What He says about what He’s doing.
Who He says He is. Who He says I am.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, could rest in the news the angel delivered to her.
Hannah could rest in the words Eli prophesied over her.
David rested in the fact he had been anointed king but was still a shepherd
and later was running for his life.
Abraham left everything he knew and trusted that God was leading him to a new place.
Joseph was faithful in the places he found himself, not doubting who God was or the dreams God had given him.
"Lord, You establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished You have done for us. Lord our God, other lords have ruled over us, but Your name alone do we honor." Isaiah 26:12,13 NIV
Partnering with God and moving with Him is the only way to live life. Resting and trusting in His goodness like a secure child is my portion in Jesus.
Living with anxiety is living and settling for much less than God intended for me to live in!
"Thank You, Lord, that I can rest tonight knowing I am in Your hands. Thank You for peace. Thank You for being so good, so trustworthy, so faithful.
I release all the things I don’t understand to You and Your capable hands.
Let Your truth wash over me and cleanse me completely while I rest in You tonight.
Awake me in the morning ready and refreshed in order to partner with You in everything You have for me tomorrow.
I love You!"
